About Us

Ms. Maska Tarin was born into an enlightened family in northern Afghanistan (Balkh Province). Her parents have provided countless services in Afghanistan for the suffering people of the country in the social and political sectors for many years.

Ms. Tarin studied Dari literature to the bachelor’s degree at Balkh State University and obtained a master’s degree in law and political science from Maulana University. She is a member of the Afghan Youth Parliament, the owner of the weekly magazine OSION, the founder of the Bawar Foundation, the director of Fatima Balkhi High School in Balkh Province, and is active in the field of defending the rights of women and youth.

Ms. Maska Tarin continued to serve the people of Afghanistan after emigrating to Canada. She worked voluntarily in organizations such as the non-profit organization “Women of Afghanistan” and the “Afghan Canada” organization.
Understanding the conditions and needs of newly arrived Afghans and other newcomers to Canada, Ms. Tareen has officially registered a non-profit organization called “Humanitarian Initiatives – Canada” in Toronto and has begun the initial activities of this organization by holding beneficial programs, which will be officially inaugurated today.
